About Us Richard J. Ricca, M.D., F.A.C.S. I am married with 3 children. I went to Huntington High School, graduated in 1971, then attended Duke University and graduated in 1975. Medical School, New York Medical College -1979, post graduate training. Internal Medicine, Jackson Memorial Hospital – 1980. Surgery, SUNY Stony Brook – 1981. Surgery, Boston University Medical Center - 1982, SUNY Stony Brook 1982-1985. Chief resident surgery, SUNY Stony Brook 1985. I started my General & Vascular Surgical Practice in Huntington, NY -1985-1994. I then went on to practice in Southampton, NY - 1994 – to present. I have been practicing for over 20 years, performed over 1990 major surgeries in the past 5 years and over 300 minor surgeries in the past 5 years. I am Board Certified in General Surgery and a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons.
